1964 Fender Jazz Bass Replica
This is a great playing instrument. All parts are genuine Fender® USA with the exception of the mint green pickguard, which is an aftermarket Allparts product, and the Schaller nickel tuners. Both the body and the neck were refinished in Daphne Blue nitrocellulose lacquer, and the neck got tinted lacquer and matching Daphne Blue on the headstock face. The colors match perfectly and looks killer with the rosewood neck and mint green pickguard. I chose the transition logo, which I thought was appropriate for this '64 look-a-like. This is a used guitar and has a couple minor defects and swirling in the paint, but otherwise in very good condition. Hard to make out in the pics, but there are two small black scuffs on the back lower bout bass side. The frets were checked to ensure they were level and adjusted where needed. There is plenty of life left in them. The fretboard edges were slightly radius'd for comfort and it feels incredible. The nut is made of authentic ivory. The pickups and electronics, as far as I know, are original to the 1996 body. Other than the pickguard and tuners, both the bridge cover and pickup cover were new 3 years ago when I put this together. Finally, the neck mounting system was converted to machine screws, using stainless steel 8-32 screws and threaded brass inserts. Exceptionally firm contact. There is no case for this guitar at this price. I do have a vintage 1970 Fender black tolex rectangular case in very good condition which I'll offer separately at a later date. I'm a very experience shipper of vintage and newer guitars. Your new bass will arrive unscathed and will be fully insured. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
