1971 Marshall model 1987 50w JMP w/ JCM 1960A&B

The JMP head cab was manufactured in 1971.  The original tolex was stripped before I acquired it in 2008.  I added the white Levant tolex shortly afterward.  Other than routine maintenance items, all components are original.  

The 1960A (slant) cabinet is an early JCM800 unit.  It was modified by 'deleting' the cups on top and adding a gold string accent channel on top and bottom.  The tattered black Elephant tolex was removed and matching white Levant replaced.  Aluminum caster sockets were installed in place of the original plastic units.  Metal replica handles provided by Scumback replaced the originals.  The original rear panel was replaced with birch plywood the customized with tolex patchwork representing the Union Jack.  An 11" Marshall logo was added.

The speakers in the 1960A cab are Celestion G12M 75hz Greenbacks - a matching quad - all dated 1970 and all with their original 003 Pulsonic cones.  

The 1960B cabinet is an early JCM900 unit.  It was modified by replacing all MDF with poplar hardwood (baffle and cabinet framing) and adding a gold string accent channel on top and bottom.  The tattered black Elephant tolex was removed and matching white Levant replaced.  Aluminum caster sockets were installed in place of the original plastic units.  Metal replica handles provided by Scumback replaced the originals.  The original rear panel was replaced with birch plywood the customized with tolex patchwork representing the Union Jack.  An 11" Marshall logo was added.

The speakers in the 1960B cab are Celestion G12H 55hz Blackbacks - a matching quad - all dated 1976 and all with their original 444 bass response cones.
