I recently acquired a mid- to late-'70s (1976?) Marshall JMP combination cabinet expressly to restore and sell. I advertised here in the Amps & Cabs Emporium and found a buyer right away. It started as a rather ugly example, the tolex removed but not the adhesive - regardless of that, a Daphne Blue finish was painted on, then half-heartedly removed once it was discovered the old adhesive reacted to the paint unfavorably. The grille cloth and much of the hardware was absent, and what remained was virtually unusable for the resto. It was ugly, but I know a diamond in the rough when I see one. The previous owner gave up on his restoration attempt. But I love a challenge, and I'll make it right. Structurally, the shell is in excellent condition - each corner is strong and tight, no play whatsoever in the finger joints. The 1/2" ply baffle has slight delam on one edge, but it was spot glued and restored. Each ply rear panel is in excellent condition. Overall structural condition assessment - very good +. An excellent candidate for a resto.
